BILLINGS â After securing a $400,000 grant from a bill passed by the 2019 Montana Legislature, staff at the Moss Mansion Museum were able to complete some major renovation projects to the downtown Billings home built in 1903, said Aly Turner, fundraising manager for the museum.
âEvery penny that we make, we fundraise from the ground up. We donât receive any money from the state or the city. That (bill) was a huge help because we were gifted that essentially and were able to do a lot of the renovations that were on our bucket list for a long time,â Turner told Q2 on Tuesday.

75k tenants dealing with deferred rent debts By Grace Ormsby 15 February 2021

The COVID-19 Rental Housing and Homelessness Impacts analysed the impacts of COVID-19 on the rental market and the government’s response to the crisis as part of a partnership between UNSW Sydney and the Australian Council of Social Services.
According to Australian Council of Social Services CEO Dr Cassandra Goldie, local and federal governments did the right thing in increasing support payments for existing tenants during the pandemic, which included putting in place eviction moratoriums and encouraging landlords to consider rent variations.
Joe Biden Extends Temporary Amnesty for 7K Syrian Nationals in U.S.
President Joe Biden has extended a temporary amnesty program for nearly 7,000 Syrian nationals living in the United States.
On Friday, Bidens Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced it would extend Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to 6,700 Syrian nationals in the U.S. who would otherwise be eligible for deportation.
The renewal of TPS for Syrians means those who meet particular requirements can stay in the U.S. until September 2022, when the program must be renewed again by DHS. Despite supposedly being temporary, TPS for Syrians has been in effect since March 2012 due to armed conflict, environmental disasters, and extraordinary and temporary conditions in the region.
