LOS ANGELES After so many years and episode re-watches could there BE anything left to learn about Friends ? As the highly-anticipated, almost two-hour reunion special for HBO Max shows (and with apologies to Matthew Perry for continuing to borrow his lines), Yes, yes, a thousand times, yes. One thing that we didn t need to learn (because we already knew it) was just how truly there these six characters were for the audience. In the 1990s and early-aughts, the cast of Friends provided hours of joy first just on Thursday nights when new episodes aired, but soon enough five nights a week in syndication.

Friends fans were treated to a very star-studded trip down memory lane on Thursday after the sitcom s reunion special was finally released online and on apps ahead of airing in the UK and US tonight.
During the episode, supermodel Cindy Crawford slipped into those tight leather trousers which left Ross Geller (David Schwimmer) struggling in season five and Justin Bieber rocked the character s famous potato themed Halloween costume.
While David Beckham also made an appearance to reveal he s a clean freak like Monica Gellar (Courteney Cox) as he joined Reese Witherspoon, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, BTS and Mindy Kaling to celebrate the show.

Friends: The Reunion has finally arrived!
Friends debuted in 1994 and saw mass success, with the show producing 10 seasons over the course of a decade.
The sitcom, which followed six friends living in the heart of New York, made stars out of Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green), Courteney Cox (Monica Geller), David Schwimmer (Ross Geller), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay), Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing) and Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani).
It wrapped back in 2004 and 17 years on, the cast of the show has at last given fans what they want, a reunion.
