Coffee drinkers, pet owners and home bakers helped to drive the biggest rise in quarterly sales at Nestle for 10 years, as the world s biggest food group outshone Danone and set a high bar for Unilever. The Swiss group has weathered the COVID-19 pandemic well so far, as consumers have bought more packaged foods and tried to brighten up lockdowns with Starbucks at-home coffee or making treats with Carnation evaporated milk. Nestle s ecommerce business also fared well in the first quarter, with sales up 40%, and its health science business benefitted as people bought more vitamins and supplements. Demand for fortified milks boosted dairy too.

Nestlé Waters North America, the applicant for a 1041 permit application in Chaffee County, is now operating under the new corporate name of BlueTriton Brands. This name change follows the acquisition of the Nestlé Waters North America by One Rock Capital Partners in partnership with Metropoulos & Co., in February, 2021.
Nestlé Waters North America has an active application for a ten-year extension of its 2009 permit for a spring water production process at the Ruby Spring, and associated transmission pipeline and loading facility in Johnson Village. The permit renewal is currently under consideration by Chaffee County.
“The County is assessing what implications this corporate name change may have on the existing extended 1041 permit as well as the renewal/extension application hearing already underway,” said Chaffee County Attorney Jennifer Davis.
