Saudi Tourism launches virtual trade roadshow
RIYADH, 26 days ago The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) has launched an international virtual roadshow under the ‘Journeys in Arabia’ platform, which aims to inform and inspire travel trade partners about the diverse products and experiences on offer in Saudi. The virtual roadshow provides a forum for travel trade partners around the world to engage one-on-one with senior representatives from leading destination, experience and hospitality brands based in Saudi. For the first time, partners will have the opportunity to connect and build relationships with local entities, brought together on the one platform. The roadshows will be taking place in six markets across the globe with the Middle East roadshow being held on March 8 and 9, 2021 from 8am to 8pm (GST).

Photos of the UAE’s first hotel were recently shared by Wam – the Emirates News Agency to celebrate the country’s progress as a premiere tourist destination.
The photos show the BOAC Rest House, which was constructed by the British Overseas Airways Corporation as an overnight stop for its flights on the western Gulf air-route to India.
For nine months, while the building was under construction, overnight passengers used a tented camp. One wing of the foursquare defensive fort was allocated to guest rooms. It appears to have had six single rooms and three double-rooms, with a capacity of twelve persons.

One Degree Cafe has launched a winter pop-up experience, located on the Dubai-Sharjah border, approximately a 40-minute drive from Downtown Dubai.
The space is set right in the middle of the desert, with mountain and dune views from every angle. It also features a number of eclectic seating options, from chairs to plush sofas to makeshift canopies on the sand. There are other interesting knick-knacks that add character to the place including a vintage television and radio, a mirror and a swing.
