UAE operator Etisalat has announced further expansion plans for its SmartHub ecosystem of interconnected communities with the planned launch of a new facility.
This new wholesale data centre – Etisalat’s third – is to open in Kalba, offering a state-of-the-art Tier 3 data centre facility addressing growing demand and enhancing geographical diversity. Kalba is in the emirate of Sharjah on the Gulf of Oman coast, north of Oman.

DAMASCUS: Syria’s foreign minister blamed Israel for mysterious attacks over more than a year targeting oil tankers heading to Syria, saying they violate international law and will not go unpunished.
Faisal Mekdad told Lebanon-based Al-Mayadeen TV in an interview aired late Sunday that oil tankers coming to Syria now move under Russian protection. He did not provide any evidence for how Israel was behind the attacks.
