Banking Circle also confirmed that they’ve teamed up with global provider of local payments infrastructure, PPRO. Banking Circle is now working closely with PPRO, which recently managed to achieve Unicorn status (valued at $1 billion or more as a company), in order to enhance their service offering, “supporting PSPs working with cross border e-commerce merchants.”

The Ministerial Interests (Emergency Powers) Bill would force UK Ministers to answer questions about any personal, political or financial connections they may have to a company that is awarded a government contract.
The Bill follows a series of revelations that the UK Government has awarded billions of taxpayers’ money to companies linked to the Conservative Party during the coronavirus pandemic – including a National Audit Office report revealing a lack of transparency and adequate documentation of UK government procurement decisions during the Covid-19 pandemic.

David Linden, SNP MP for Glasgow East, asked it it would be possible reduce the tax paid on energy bills to lower costs while people spend almost all day at home. Last week the MP introduced a petition by his constituents on the issue, arguing that 25 per cent of Glaswegians live in fuel poverty and the pandemic has exacerbated the situation. Today he again asked the Treasury if it would be possible to reduce the tax, however Steve Barclay, economic secretary to the Treasury dodged his questions.

The prisoner was escorted by members of Her Majesty Prison and Probation Service, departing from Grand Turk International Airport. All Covid-19 procedures were adhered to and strictly enforced to ensure the safety of the prisoner, the staff and the community at large. This move comes following recent measures to stabilize the prison in order that a more rehabilitative regime can be delivered.
