In a doorstop interview with media after Singapore Airlines (SIA) delivered the first shipment of Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccines to Singapore on Monday (Dec. 21), Transport Minister Ong Ye Kung addressed queries regarding the Covid-19 situation in London.
In response to a media question asking if a travel ban for U.K. was being considered, Ong said that the situation in the U.K. is something the government is looking at.
Ong also said that if there are any decisions to be made, the Ministry of Health will announce it.

They added that no one should worry that there is going to be a single catastrophic mutation that suddenly renders all immunity useless.
According to The New York Times (NYT), scientists are worried about these variants but are not surprised by them. Researchers have recorded thousands of modifications in the genetic material of the coronavirus as it has hopscotched across the world.
