572 new positive tests were reported on Sunday, whilst no further deaths were recorded.

Amongst six confirmed cases in the UK, the Scottish cases are all said to be from passengers who flew from Brazil onto London via Paris, before then getting a connecting flight to Aberdeen.
THERE is room for optimism in the local job market with the number of West Fifers claiming Universal Credit rising by 0.9 per cent, compared to three per cent across the UK. There was a total of 9,334 claiming the benefit in November in Dunfermline and West Fife – an increase of 85 compared to the previous month, according to the latest DWP figures. Across Fife, the increase in the claimant count was slightly higher at 1.2 per cent with a total of 35,668 – up by 433. The numbers claiming Universal Credit are not just those who are unemployed. Phil Martin, partnership manager for the Department for Work and Pensions in North-East Scotland, said that the figures were positive compared to the rest of the UK and that the local labour market was still quite buoyant despite fears over the country s economy.
