Taiwan offshore wind contractors secure financing from U.K. 02/19/2021 08:56 PM CNA file photo London, Feb. 18 (CNA) Two British contractors in an offshore wind development project in central Taiwan have secured a credit guarantee of 200 million British pounds (US$279.85 million) from UK Export Finance (UKEF), the agency said Thursday. In a statement, UKEF said it was providing the credit guarantee to the two British renewable energy development companies Seajacks and Trelleborg participating in the Greater Changhua 1 Offshore Wind Farm project to help unlock the export potential of the U.K. s offshore wind sector. The bank said Seajacks and Trelleborg s applied technologies operations in the U.K. have capitalized on UKEF s support by winning export contracts with Denmark-based Ørsted, which is leading the development of the wind farm project off Changhua s coast.
