Weather warning issued for Cork with cold conditions ahead
This is the second wind warning for Cork, following on from Storm Bella which hit over the weekend.

A yellow wind warning has been issued for Cork on Sunday evening into Monday morning with a snow and ice warning issued for a number of other counties.

Met Eireann has forecast northwesterly winds associated with Storm Bella (named by the UK Met Office), veering northerly overnight, reaching mean speeds of 50 to 65km/h with gusts of 90 to 110km/h. Winds will be stronger in exposed areas and on higher ground.
The New Year will continue with spells of good sunshine interspersed with some heavy, wintry showers.
Met Éireann has two Status Yellow weather alerts scheduled to end today – with a snow and ice warning in place for eight counties and a wind warning in place for seven others.
The snow and ice warning remains in place until 7am for Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Longford, Louth, Leitrim, Roscommon and Sligo.
A wind warning remains in place until 2pm for Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Clare, Cork and Kerry.
Irish coastal waters are also the focus of a Status Orange gale warning with winds reaching up to Storm Force 10.

THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE were without power last night after high winds and heavy rain swept across the country yesterday.
A Status Yellow wind warning for seven counties remains in place until 2pm as gusts associated with Storm Bella continue to pass over the country.
The warning, issued by Met Éireann yesterday, is valid for Donegal, Sligo, Mayo, Galway, Clare, Kerry and Cork.
A snow-ice warning issued by the UK Met Office for Northern Ireland also remains in place until 10am.
