Met Éireann has issued a snow and ice warning for the entire country for tomorrow night, following a warning for seven counties that is currently in place.
The Status Yellow warning will come into effect from 6pm tomorrow and will last until midday on Sunday.
It follows an earlier warning, which currently applies to Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo.
Met Éireann is warning of falls of hail, sleet and snow with icy and hazardous conditions.
The warning for the seven northeastern counties expires at midday tomorrow, but will be followed by the warning for the entire country at 6pm.
Met Éireann has issued a series of snow and ice warnings ahead of what is set to be a cold weekend.
The first warning comes into place at 12pm on Friday for the north and northwest.
Counties Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo have been told to expect falls of hail, sleet and snow.
The UK Met Office has also issued a similar warning for Northern Ireland, which comes into effect from 4pm on Friday.
It has warned that snow and ice may cause travel disruption on Friday night and into Saturday morning.

Tropical Cyclone Eloise threatens Mozambique
Tropical Cyclone Eloise is intensifying and is expected to make landfall at 0300 UTC on 23 January in Mozambique, as the equivalent of a category 2 strength on the Saffir Simpson scale.
It will bring hurricane-force winds, heavy rainfall and the risk of coastal flooding, with widespread humanitarian impacts, and underlines once again the importance of WMO’s efforts to strengthen early warnings and build resilience, especially in vulnerable countries on the frontline of climate change.
Eloise impacted Madagascar before crossing the Mozambican Channel, killing at least one person and causing damage.
It is forecast that Eloise will make landfall near the city of Beira, between the Zambezi delta and Save river delta. Snow and freezing temperatures are on the way as Met Eireann has issued a Snow and Ice Warning for all of Ireland for the weekend.
Met Eireann has issued a
Status Yellow Snow/Ice warning for Ireland from 6pm on Saturday until midday on Sunday.
It is warning that there will be falls of hail, sleet and snow with icy and hazardous conditions.
Separately Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow Snow/Ice warning for Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo from midday today until midday on Saturday.
In addition, the UK Met Office has issued a status yellow snow/ice warning for
Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry.
The warning comes into effect at 4pm on Friday and will remain in place until 10.30am on Saturday, with snow and ice expected to cause travel disruption on Friday night and into Saturday morning.
The warnings come on top of a weather advisory for Ireland, which has been in place since midnight on Wednesday and warns of “increasingly wintry conditions” until midnight on Sunday.

While the most recent weather warnings apply to Friday night and Saturday morning, Met Éireann has also forecast that there will be accumulations of snow “in many areas” on Saturday night.
