UK Law Student Recovering from Severe Neurological Impacts Following COVID-19

of LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 17, 2021)  For University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law student Shelby Ponder, this past summer was supposed to be focused on serving as a law clerk at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in London, Kentucky. However, instead of being a summer she would never forget due to gaining that prestigious experience, it turned into a defining chapter in her life in which her only focus of every minute was surviving. “This experience showed me how little I understood of true suffering. Message to Students: Register to Be Vaccinated

Pete Comparoni | UK Photo. LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 15, 2021)  University of Kentucky Vice President for Student Success Kirsten Turner emailed UK students Friday, March 12, encouraging them to register now for the opportunity to receive a COVID-19 vaccination later this year. The message is below. Dear Students, Last night, President Biden announced to the country that he would direct every state “to make all adults, people 18 and over, eligible to be vaccinated no later than May 1.” Supplies of COVID-19 vaccines and a number of other factors, of course, will determine how quickly everyone is vaccinated after that date. We want to be prepared for that moment. We want to include you, our students, in that process.
