Dubai: A global pandemic. Change in political lines. The UK, post Brexit, is on a new path, one of reimagined international alliances and on the cusp of a new dawn. It is in this weather that the United Kingdom will be participating in Expo 2020 Dubai, which kicks off this October.
“The UK was at a different place when we first started – it was during the pre-EU exit – and right now we are looking at the UK as Global Britain, where we will be seeing things differently. It is important we help to educate and explain to people what United Kingdom is and what it stands for in the future,” explains Laura Faulkner, UK Commissioner General and Director, Expo 2020 Dubai.

From resource use to net zero, green technology and decarbonisation, the programme promises to proactively address solutions for sustainable living.
Dubai: What if you were given the chance to talk to aliens? At Expo 2020 Dubai, the UK Pavilion wants you to string together a message that represents the human race for a hypothetical contact with the unknown.
The visitor experience is inspired by the late Stephen Hawking’s ‘Breakthrough Message’, an initiative co-signed by the legendary theoretical physicist and his colleagues in 2015.
The ‘Breakthrough Message’ was launched in the form of a global competition to collate digital messages representative of our world and our ways of living, should we encounter intelligent life forms at some point in time.

United Kingdom Pavilion Relaxation Station Moving to Morocco This Weekend at EPCOT
The mask-free relaxation station at the United Kingdom Pavilion will be relocating to the Morocco Pavilion on April 30th. As crowds continue to return to Walt Disney World Resort, additional capacity is sought around the parks.
The current relaxation station, a place for guests to sit and take a break from their face masks, uses the seating area for the Yorkshire County Fish Shop. By moving the station to the Morocco Pavilion, Disney can free up some dining space.
