Student commuter permits will go on sale beginning Monday, June 7, for returning students (those who had a commuter permit last academic year). This priority presale window is available through Wednesday, June 16, on a first-come, first-served basis.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 5, 2021) Students who need to park on the University of Kentucky campus this summer can purchase a summer parking permit beginning on Monday, May 10.
The permits will be available at the UK Transportation Services customer service center, located at 721 Press Ave., or by calling 859-257-5757. They cost $10 per week and are available for any number of weeks.
UK’s parking lots and structures will be on control during the summer session from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, Monday, May 17, through Friday, Aug. 13.
Parking is generally more plentiful on campus during the summer, with additional options available for any valid UK permit. Summer permits authorize students to park in most student lots, as well as Cornerstone Garage (PS #5), the Scott Street area lots and the Sports Center area lots. Applications for Commute Club are now open. Students and employees can apply anytime now through September for the 2021-2022 fiscal year.
Commute Club is offered through UK Transportation Services. Its goal is to reduce campus parking demand and traffic congestion and to support sustainable transportation options. Members agree to forego purchasing a regular vehicle parking permit for one fiscal year, although they still have access to a limited number of single-day permits for occasional use.

(Jan. 26, 2021) The University of Kentucky and UK Transportation Services recently signed a new contract with the Lexington-based company Roberts Heavy Duty Towing & Recovery that provides for discounted motorist assistance services in addition to supporting campus towing operations.
As a reminder, Transportation Services offers
free on-campus battery jump-starts for all UK parking permit holders, campus patients and visitors. This service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If your car battery dies on campus and you need a jump-start, use the following contact information, also conveniently located on the reverse side of UK parking permits:
