UK Alumnus James Stuckert to be Honored as Kappa Sigma s 2019 Man of the Year

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 14, 2021)  Active alumnus and generous friend of the University of Kentucky James Stuckert will be honored by the national fraternity that he joined as a freshman at UK. The Supreme Executive Committee of Kappa Sigma Fraternity selected Stuckert as the 2019 Kappa Sigma Fraternity Man of the Year. Delayed due to the pandemic, a special banquet recognizing Stuckert will be held Saturday, April 17, on the UK campus.  Stuckert is an April 22, 1956, initiate of the Beta-Nu Chapter of Kappa Sigma at UK, where he graduated with a bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering in 1960 and an MBA in 1961. He was heavily involved in the fraternity as well as being a member of Omicron Delta Kappa and Phi Tau Sigma chemical engineering honorary. During his undergraduate years, he served as business manager for the Kentucky Engineering Magazine and was the Student Government Association representative from the College of Engineering.

UK s Alumni Association, International Center, Office for China Initiatives Announce New China UK Alumni Club

A new club for Chinese alums of the University of Kentucky as been launched by the Alumni Association, International Center and Office of China Initiatives. LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 8, 2021)  The University of Kentucky Alumni Association, in partnership with the University of Kentucky International Center and the Office for China Initiatives (OCI), has launched the China UK Alumni Club. The club will engage, connect, serve and celebrate UK alumni and friends living in China. Huajing Maske, director of the OCI, played a vital role in the formation of the club. “Establishing the China UK Alumni Club and managing China alumni relations have been the top priorities for the OCI,” Maske said. “With the number of Chinese students on campus close to 37% of our international student body, it is high time we create the China UK Alumni Club.”
