Malik s restaurant in Cookham A RESTAURANT has been handed a £85,000 fine after the building caught fire in 2016. An investigation carried out by Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service found Malik s restaurant in Cookham had breached a number of serious fire safety breaches. Fire Safety Inspecting Officers found the restaurant had insufficient fire alarm and detection in the residential part of the building and a lack of compliant fire doors. The company Beta UK Limited was sentenced for fire safety breaches following the fire at Malik’s Restaurant, Cookham.
