Before his exposure, Morris Fraser was the ‘Celebrity Doctor’ of his era who had featured in programmes by NBC News about the conflict in the North of Ireland as well as BBC Songs of Praise in 1977, after having been convicted in court for child molestation against a young boy in London on 17May 1972. Aptly, this happened just yards away from the Houses of Parliament and in one of the most metropolitan and expensive locations in London, and yet no media outlet reported on it at all at that time.

On Sunday, in a lengthy OpEd, the senior advocate of Nigeria said, “It is on record that the Federal Government openly opposed the trial of Chief Ibori in the United Kingdom. In fact, in utter breach of the provisions of the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty between Nigeria and the then UK Attorney-General of the Federation, Chief Michael Aondoakaa rejected the request to make relevant documents available for the trial in the UK on the grounds of sovereignty.
UK plans new law to allow Cabinet ministers maternity leave
It is expected that the new law would be in place in time for when she gives birth to her second child.

LONDON: The UK government will table a new bill in Parliament on Thursday to allow Cabinet ministers to be able to go on maternity leave for six months on full pay.
The Ministerial and other Maternity Allowances bill, to be tabled by Cabinet Office minister Penny Mordaunt, will cover ministers and holders of Opposition offices on maternity leave and is expected to immediately impact Goan-origin Cabinet minister Suella Braverman who is expecting a child in the coming weeks.
