The Netherlands has announced that it will ban flights from the UK due to fears over a new variant of the coronavirus, which could be 70% more infectious.
It comes after the Dutch government confirmed at least one case of the same mutation that has prompted parts of Britain to return to lockdown rules.

Three European countries have announced that they will not allow flights to land in their country from the UK.
Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium have all confirmed that due to a new Covid variant discovered in the United Kingdom all flights will have to stop.
The new coronavirus strain is causing huge leaps in infection levels in particularly the South East of England and was the reason behind the Government announcing a new Tier 4 in the country.
