Christians in Hiding in China Wednesday, December 23rd, 2020 Tens of thousands of house church pastors across China have gone into hiding as the Communist Party continues attempts to eradicate Christianity from the country. Mission group Asia Harvest says, pastors have disconnected from their phones and computers so that government authorities can’t track their movements. They have also reportedly destroyed the microchips inside their ID cards so authorities cannot track their locations. Everyone in China must have an ID card. It’s impossible for a person to catch public transport, open a bank account, get a job, or rent an apartment without using their card.
