Professor Omotoye Olorode is not just an example in selflessness and sacrifice for the liberation of Nigeria and Africa, but also a study in humility and mentorship of generations. He is one Nigerian that has absolute confidence in the future and the ultimate triumph of our people over backwardness, neo-colonialism and imperialism.

When we first met mid-80s, he strikingly exhibited all the attributes of a courageous, determined, focused comrade optimistic, like the rest of us, of the imminence of a revolution that would ‘’soon’’ upturn the entire system that viciously divides the society in an unbalanced class of exploiters and the exploited; oppressors and the oppressed; the poor and the rich.

A former Commissioner for Establishment and Special Duties in Edo State, Comrade Didi Adodo, is dead.
Adodo who served during the two terms of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole’s administration, reportedly died in the early hours of Tuesday, from a brief, but yet-to-be-disclosed ailment.
It was gathered that he took ill five days ago, but could not recover from the illness.
The death of the frontline labour leader is a big blow to the labour industry.
Until his demise, Comrade Adodo was the General Secretary of Iron and Steel Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ISSSAN). He was also a former General Secretary of the United Labour Congress.

The immediate National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and former governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, on Tuesday, described the death of the former Commissioner for Establishment and Special Duties in the state, Didi Adodo, as a personal loss.
Adodo, who served as commissioner for eight years of Oshiomhole administration in the state, died in the early hours of Tuesday at the Stella Obasanjo Hospital, Benin.
Until his death, Comrade Adodo was the General Secretary of the Iron and Steel Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ISSSAN). He was also a former General Secretary of the United Labour Congress (ULC).
