LESOTHO managed to control HIV and AIDS infections through collaborative efforts from stakeholders like development partners, the government and clients, the Elizabeth Glaser Paediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) has said.
This came out during a Thursday webinar held to celebrate Lesotho’s success in AIDS epidemic control by achieving the 90/90/90 targets. The webinar was attended by experts from EGPAF and the Ministry of Health.

Katsina, Feb. 26, 2021 The United Nation Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has expressed concern over the attack on Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe, Talata-Mafara Local Government of Zamfara State, where a number of girls were kidnapped.
This is contained in a statement issued by the UNICEF representative in Nigeria, Mr Peter Hawkins, through the UNICEF Communications Specialist, Mr Sam Kaalu, and made available to newsmen on Friday in Katsina.
“We are angered and saddened by yet another brutal attack on schoolchildren in Nigeria.
“This is a gross violation of children’s rights and a horrific experience for children to go through, which will have long lasting effects on their mental health and well-being.

UNICEF: Mobile Clinics in Migrant Communities
Mobile clinics are being sent to migrant communities in western and southern Belize as part of a joint effort between the United Nations Population Fund, UN Refugee Agency, United Nation’s Children Fund and International Organization for Migration. According to UNICEF Belize, the pop-up clinics will allow for agencies to coordinate humanitarian assistance and support to respond to the emerging health issues such as domestic violence and reproductive health of migrants, refugees and residents of their host communities. The clinics will also provide access to legal services, birth registration, psychosocial services, and to information on the asylum procedures. The mobile centers are expected to expand coverage for those who often cannot access established or more centralized service locations due to limited mobility, distance, insecurity or other obstacles.
