Governor Balochistan Amanullah Khan Yasinzai has said that Pakistan has not only rendered countless sacrifices for eradication of terrorism but is still playing a significant role for peace and stability in the entire region.
He was talking to a delegation of the United Nations High Commission for Refugees led by its Quetta Chief Erwin Policar which called on him at the Governor House in Quetta.
During the meeting, overall regional situation, condition of Afghan refugees, provision of health and education to the local population were discussed.
The Governor expressed confidence that the Afghan peace talks will soon yield positive results.
UN Calls on EU to Stop Migrant Pushbacks at Its Borders

The United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) has called on the European Union to investigate allegations that illegal migrants are being immediately deported at its borders, before they can claim to be seeking asylum.
Immediate deportations at the border, commonly referred to as pushbacks, have been reported on the European Union’s land and sea borders, and allegedly recorded by pro-migration non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in the areas.

Bole has led the election committee during challenging circumstances the past two years. In her first year as chair in 2019, close election results required a state-mandated ballot recount, and other allegations prompted a lawsuit from a losing candidate, who later withdrew the suit.
