The Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA), under the program “The Civic Peace Service Project (CPS) has concluded a one day youth engagement forum aimed at providing information on the past to promotes discussion of peaceful future, prevention of violence and justice.
The one-day event, which took place on April 29, 2021, brought together more than 25 young people including students to discuss their rights and interest in a non-violent manner to assume their rightful place in society. The CPS, a civic engagement session, was held under the theme, “War Crimes and Justice”.

According to Field Level Media, “The NBA’s Basketball Africa League is slated to open its inaugural, 14-day season on May 16 in Kigali, Rwanda. The league will feature a dozen club teams from across Africa, with all 26 games being held at Kigali Arena in Rwanda and concluding with the title game on May 30. The BAL was initially expected to debut in March 2020 in Dakar, Senegal,” the date postponed due to the pandemic.
Human rights groups are concerned that using Rwanda as a backdrop would provide a public relations boost for its autocratic leader.
