This was revealed today in the High Court in Suva by Christopher Downes, the father of murdered United Nations World Food Program staff member Jennifer Ann Downes. While testifying via Skype from his home in Australia, Mr Downes told the High Court that Mr Lusaka accused him of sending his wife poison to kill him. He also said in the days leading up to the discovery of her body at her Service Street residence, Mr Lusaka was talking about an affair between Ms Downes and a work colleague.

It follows an agreement worked out with another agency to access COVID-19 vaccines under a U.N.-backed program.
