His climate action goals by 2030 include multiple strategies such as: • 100% renewable energy in city facilities. • 50% energy and water use reduction. • The largest and expanding e-car fleet in Western Pennsylvania. • Zero waste citywide. The city has already divested fossil fuel investments from its pension fund. New management at the Pittsburgh Water & Sewer Authority is working cooperatively with the city to replace every lead surface line in the city; 5,000 lines were replaced last year alone. In addition, PWSA has instituted a green-first plan, a stormwater and sewage master plan. It is working to mitigate flooding and mudslides. Our city has the cleanest tap water that it has experienced in the last two decades.
