Cabinet has agreed to the implementation of the National Deployment and Vaccination Plan for COVID-19 Vaccines in the Republic of Mauritius. The Plan highlights the regulatory preparedness, the planning and coordination of the introduction of the vaccine, its supply chain management, service delivery and healthcare waste management and includes human resources management and training.

Date Time Developing GIT Capacity in Nepal for Disaster Risk Management and Decision Support 23 December 2020, Geneva, Switzerland – UNOSAT delivered a 4-day training in Kathmandu, Nepal, on the Application of Geospatial Information Technology (GIT) for Disaster Risk Management (DRM) and Decision Support to different Nepalese ministries, police, and army officials. This training was prepared and delivered in collaboration with the United Nations Resident Coordinator’s Office (UNRCO) in Nepal and the Nepalese National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA). Starting on Monday 7 December, participants from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, the Army, and the Police forces of Nepal were hosted at the NDRRMA offices to receive a 4-day training on GIT applications for DRM and Decision Support. Armenia: Registered Arrivals of Displaced Population, Round 3 - Dec 2020 Format As a result to the latest armed conflict in Nagorno Karabakh (27th September) significant number of persons were displaced on the territory of the Republic of Armenia. Subsequently a number of efforts have been made by the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the international community to identify the locations of the displaced population and assess their needs through process of registration and targeted needs assessments. In this endeavour an Information Management Working Group led by the United Nations Resident Coordinator’s Office jointly with UNHCR and with the active participation of IOM out has been set up to coordinate the needs assessment efforts.
