WASHINGTON President-elect Joe Biden will nominate former ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power to lead the U.S. Agency for International Development, the U.S. government’s foremost foreign aid organization, the presidential transition team said Wednesday.
In addition, the president-elect will elevate the role of USAID administrator to membership in the White House’s National Security Council, where Ms. Power will work under incoming national security adviser Jake Sullivan.
