Hirse gegen Typ-2-Diabetes – Blutzucker und Erkrankungsrisiko sinken
Der Verzehr von Hirse kann laut einer aktuellen Studie das Risiko einer Erkrankung an Typ-2-Diabetes senken und den Blutzuckerspiegel bei Diabetes normalisieren. Sowohl bei der Behandlung von Typ-2-Diabetes als auch bei der Prävention könnten regelmäßige Mahlzeiten mit Hirse demnach hilfreich sein.
Ein internationales Forschungsteam hat anhand einer Meta-Analyse von 65 Studien aus elf Ländern nachgewiesen, dass der Verzehr von Hirse bei Diabetes zu einer besseren Blutzuckereinstellung führen kann. Zudem wirkt der regelmäßige Hirse-Verzehr auch präventiv und senkt das Risiko einer Diabetes-Erkrankung. Die Ergebnisse der Meta-Analyse wurden in dem Fachmagazin „Frontiers in Nutrition“ veröffentlicht.

1 July 2021, Rome - The United Nations International Year of Plant Health (IYPH) 2020 ended officially today with a virtual closing ceremony highlighting the many successes achieved - despite the challenges posed by COVID-19, which extended the Year s activities for an extra six months.
In his remarks at the ceremony, the Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), QU Dongyu, offered a reminder of the Year s key objectives:
