QNA Vienna: The United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) concluded the meetings of its 54th session in Vienna, which took more than two weeks.   Qatar’s delegation at the meeting was chaired by Director of Legal Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Hilal bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi. The UN commission plays a key role in placing the legal framework for facilitating trade and investment internationally.

Centerra Gold files additional claims in arbitration relating to seized Asian mine by The Canadian Press Last Updated Jul 7, 2021 at 6:57 pm EDT TORONTO Centerra Gold Inc. says it has filed additional claims in binding arbitration against the government of the Kyrgyz Republic and asserted claims against the state-owned entity Kyrgyzaltyn JSC in response to the expropriation of the Kumtor Mine in the central Asian country.  The Toronto-based miner says it is seeking to hold both responsible for all losses and damages resulting from the seizure of the gold mine in violation of long-standing investment agreements and without compensation to Centerra.
