st, 2021, from 8:00AM - 9:30AM EDT, the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU) and Viatris (NASDAQ: VTRS) will co-host a virtual dialogue following the 2021 Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund, on the need for sustainable global health treatment and financing for at-risk populations, and other lessons learned, at the one-year mark of COVID-19.
The dialogue, titled, Investing in the Patient Journey: NCDs and COVID-19 beyond the Pandemic, will feature remarks from both public and private sector stakeholders and global health leaders, to highlight the fact that health systems have been strained by COVID-19, and patients with noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) have faced a double burden of care and treatment for their underlying conditions while being most at-risk for COVID-19 related complications. IMPACT Initiatives is a humanitarian NGO, based in Geneva, Switzerland. The organisation manages several initiatives, including the REACH Initiative. The IMPACT team comprises specialists in data collection, management and analysis, GIS and remote-sensing. IMPACT was launched at the initiative of ACTED, an international NGO whose headquarter is based in Paris and is present in thirty countries.
