New Delhi: LeT operations commander and 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks planner Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi was on Saturday arrested in Pakistan on terror financing charges.
The LeT terrorist has been arrested in connection with a terrorism financing case registered by the Punjab Counter Terror Department at Lahore police station. He was allegedly running a dispensary using funds collected for terrorism financing.
Lakhvi, the operations commander of terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba, was designated as a global terrorist by the UN under the United Nations Security Council Resolution in 2008 after the Mumbai attacks.

Israeli forces have attacked hundreds of Palestinian people taking part in protest rallies in the occupied West Bank against the Tel Aviv regime’s land grab policies.
On Friday, Israeli forces fired Israeli occupation forces opened fire on a Palestinian young man south of the city of al-Khalil (Hebron) from close range when he tried to prevent them from seizing a generator he and his family uses.
The man, who was identified as 24-year-old Haron Rasmi Aboaram, was injured in the neck and transferred to hospital.
Reports say he is in critical condition.
Also Israeli occupation forces fired tear gas and rubber bullets at the protesters, who were out on the streets in the village of Deir Jarir, east of Ramallah City, to voice their anger at the construction of a new settlement outpost in the area.

According to ARY News, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested Lakhvi an alleged member of a banned outfit during a raid conducted in Lahore.
The department s spokesperson said that Lakhvi was arrested during a raid for allegedly financing terrorists.
Lakhvi was designated as a global terrorist by the United Nations under the United Nations Security Council Resolution in 2008 after the Mumbai attacks.
