April 14 (UPI) South Korea has the world s lowest birthrate, according to the latest report from the United Nations Population Fund.
The U.N. s annual State of World Population report released Wednesday showed that Korea ranked at the bottom of 198 countries. South Korea s fertility rate is 1.1 per woman, a reference to the average number of children a woman is expected to bear in a lifetime.

6,000 families to be interviewed to assess the situation of children, women and men
[Image: UNICEF/Facebook] 6,000 families across Fiji are expected to be interviewed in the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey which is designed to assess the situation of children, women and men in the areas of health, education, and child protection.
The survey developed by UNICEF will run till mid-April.
UNICEF says the survey will collect data on health, nutrition, child protection, education, learning skills of children, early childhood development, water, sanitation and hygiene among other topics.
