Photo exhibition on China s poverty alleviation opens in Bulgaria

SOFIA, May 5 (Xinhua) A photo exhibition entitled Cases of Poverty Alleviation through Tourism in China opened here on Wednesday. The event, organized by the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the World Tourism Alliance and the Chinese Embassy in Bulgaria, features 60 posters with information and photos about 14 selected examples of China s achievements in places such as Cijuelin Village in Tibet Autonomous Region, Kayang Village in Qinghai province, and Gushi County in Henan province. Poverty alleviation is a shared mission for all mankind, says the foreword of the exhibition.

We are all aware of how the US will weaponise and even create ‘human rights’ situations in order to further its goals, and that it has engaged in such actions almost constantly since World War II. As such, I obviously agree with him that the capitalist countries are promoting this narrative for the usual reasons, via the usual avenues (eg, the National Endowment for Democracy). Nevertheless, I found comrade Lazare’s contribution unhelpful, because of how it paints over underlying issues that are very much worth talking about - they both affect the proletariat locally and illustrate the under-theorisation of certain issues related to revolution and the building of socialism and

Shuanghu County, Tibet Autonomous Region, was removed from poverty list on December 9, 2019. As of Oct, 2020, about 35,000 resettlement areas have been built nationwide, and more than 2.66 million units of resettlement housing have been built for the poor. Sheku B.B Dumbuya has done a spectacular job in vetting proposed presidential nominees through established procedures that subsequently led to their approval by the plenary. In strict separation of powers as determined by the 1991 Constitution, and in exercise of executive powers conferred on the Presidency, only the President has the prerogative to single handedly hire and fire ministers and other appointees at will, but that such appointments are subject to the scrutiny and approval of Parliament.
