SEATTLE, April 28, 2021 /PRNewswire/ Alaska Airlines Our Commitment aircraft took to the skies in partnership with UNCF (United Negro College Fund), a symbol of the airline s promise to create a place where everyone sees themselves and belongs. Designed with Alaska s Air Group Black Employees, Allies and Advocates (ABEA) group to illustrate the airline s belief in education as the great equalizer and as a critical component of creating sustainable racial equity, the aircraft features 14 profiles of the next generation of leaders: the children, grandchildren and mentees of Alaska s employees. The aircraft made its inaugural flight from Seattle to Washington

Royal Oils and Gold Series Announce the Recipients of the Rooted in Science Scholarship

Procter & Gamble (P&G) haircare brands Royal Oils by Head & Shoulders and Gold Series from Pantene announced the 11 recipients of the first annual Rooted in Science Scholarship. The scholarships were awarded to Black women pursuing a degree in STEM fields at historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and UNCF (United Negro College Fund)-member schools. UNCF, a long-time partner to P&G, will facilitate the distribution.

4/26/2021 - Saint Helena, CA Napa Valley Vintners (NVV) and UNCF (United Negro College Fund) proudly announce scholarship applications are now being accepted for students wishing to pursue a career in the wine industry. The first recipients will receive support toward college tuition this fall.
Last September, NVV committed $1 million to the fund, pledging $200,000 each year for the next five years, and has begun a fundraising effort to build the fund beyond that initial investment.
