Dumas will oversee the company’s interests and investments in the United States and abroad. In the United States, the Group produces and markets conventional and organic produce under the Green Earth Produce The Organic Label brand and is a partner in Dandrea Produce (Vineland, NJ). Group Courchesne Larose also has investments in Central and South America.
Most recently, Dumas spent 22 years at Del Monte Fresh Produce, holding various positions in Canada, the United States and Europe. He began his produce industry career in 1989 with Dole Fresh Fruit Co.

The application period has opened for the Class 26 of the United Fresh Produce Industry Leadership Program. Since its inception in 1995, more than 250 produce industry professionals have graduated from this exclusive program, thanks to the support of founding sponsor Corteva Agriscience.
“This year, as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of this one-of-a-kind program, I invite our alumni and all those who have supported their journey to pay it forward,” said Tom Stenzel, president and CEO of the United Fresh Produce Association. “Encourage the next generation of industry leaders to apply to take part in Class 26 and become the first fellows of the next quarter-century.”

Western farm organizations are ubiquitous among a wide swath of agriculture, business and human rights groups urging incoming President Joe Biden and Congress to quickly pass comprehensive immigration reform.
The California Farm Bureau Federation, the Idaho Dairymen s Association, the Oregon Association of Nurseries and Western Growers were among more than 180 organizations that issued a joint statement Tuesday calling for reforms.
The groups described immigration laws as “decades overdue for an overhaul” and urged lawmakers to create a “modern, humane and effective immigration system.” Such an overhaul should include a quicker pathway to citizenship for so-called Dreamer immigrants, who were brought to the United States as children.
