ANN ARBOR – AFC Ann Arbor officials announced on Monday that its men’s team will not participate in this year’s USL League Two season due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
“This difficult decision was made out of necessity to prioritize the health and safety of everyone at our club, including players, staff, supporters and sponsors,” the club said in a statement.

The latest Premier League club s facility to join the fight against COVID-19 is Elland Road, the home of Leeds United, which is being used as part of a network of vaccination centres across the city.
The centre in the Centenary Pavilion opened on Monday and will play an important role in helping the vaccination programme across Leeds and West Yorkshire.

Prime minister Boris Johnson has reminded those dreaming of a summer abroad that it is currently illegal to go on holiday .
Mr Johnson was speaking at a Downing Street press conference where he was asked whether members of the public should start booking holidays.
In response, the prime minister said: It is currently illegal to go on holiday. We re looking at the data everyday. In the week of the 22nd (February) we ll be setting out the road map and that s the best answer I can give.

Manchester United Women’s Kirsty Hanson has signed a new contract which will keep her at the club until June 2024, with the option to extend for a further year.
The 22-year-old Scotland international joined the club in July 2018 and has made 57 appearances in all competitions, scoring 11 goals so far.
Hanson told manutd.com: “This club means so much to me; I have grown up as a United fan, played in the girls’ academy, and I’m now part of the senior side competing in one of the most competitive leagues in the women’s game, which is a dream come true.

Manchester United Women have signed Maria Thorisdottir from Chelsea on a deal until the end of the 2022/23 season, with the option of a further year.
The 27-year-old Norway international defender has also previously played for Klepp in her country’s top division.
Thorisdottir is an experienced international player, with 46 caps for her country, and was a key part of the Norway squad who reached the quarter-finals of the 2019 Women’s World Cup in France.
