Guwahati: Pijush Hazarika, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Assam on Thursday said that the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) would win more than 30 TAC seats in the Tiwa Autonomous Council election 2020 which held on Thursday (December 17).
Minister Hazarika is confident enough of getting from Tiwa Autonomous Council poll after the formation of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) executive council allying with the United People s Party Liberal (UPPL) and Gana Suraksha party (GSP). Now BJP is everywhere. We will definitely win in TAC election also, Hazarika added.

BJP and United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL), supported by Gana Suraksha Party (GSP), formed the government of council on Tuesday. Lone congress MLA left the party and joined BJP. Elections to 40 member councils were held in two phases on December 7 and 10. The elections have resulted in fractured mandate with the ruling Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) winning only 17 seats.

Home Minister Shah s visit is a significant one following the formation of the new Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) by the coalition of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), United People s Party Liberal (UPPL), and Gana Suraksha Party (GSP).
