Today at the time of writing, shares in the automotive company are trading at $14.17, up 4.73%. What’s driving the Eagers share price today? In an ASX announcement this morning, Eagers Automotive reported the sale of its Daimler truck business to Velocity Vehicle Group, a privately owned company operating 36 commercial truck dealerships in the US.

United Airlines bets on direct air capture to reduce CO2 impact

14 December 2020 United Airlines has pledged to remove 100 per cent of its greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The carrier, which in 2018 became the first United States-based airline to commit to reducing its greenhouse emissions by 50 per cent by 2050, will advance towards carbon neutrality by committing to a multimillion-dollar investment in revolutionary atmospheric carbon capture technology known as direct air capture. The airline said it would mean less focus on indirect measures like carbon-offsetting. In addition, United said it was continuing to invest in the development and use of sustainable aviation fuel. With the announcement, United becomes the first airline in the world to offer a commitment to invest in direct air capture technology.
