Matt Turner not named to USMNT CONCACAF Nations League roster
The United States Men’s National Team announced their roster ahead of the CONCACAF Nations League and Matt Turner was not among the three goalkeepers named to the roster.

Earlier this year, New England Revolution fans got to witness their goalkeeper get his first start for the United States Men’s National Team. Sadly they will have to wait.
The USMNT released their roster ahead of CONCACAF Nations League Finals with the first game taking place against Honduras on June 3rd. If the United States is able to win, they will meet either Costa Rica or Mexico in the Final on June 6th.

Orlando forward Daryl Dike has finished one of the best loans by an American in Europe. Although Barnsley FC didn’t get promoted after losing to Swansea City on aggregate, Dike scored nine goals in 19 matches for the English Football League Championship side. The start of Christian Mafla’s career in New England has not gone well. He has barely appeared on the field and it looks like that won’t be happening anytime soon.
In the preseason, Mafla sparingly made appearances. Revolution fans started to worry about his status for the regular season. It seems like the cause for concern was valid.
Mafla has only made one start in the 2021 MLS season and even in that he only played 54 minutes. While he showed some promise with his ability to get forward and distribute the ball, the 28-year-old struggled at times defending.
