We just hit the two year point for Gregg Berhalter’s term in charge of the United States Men’s National team, and to mark the occasion, I’m doing a comprehensive review of the team since he took charge. This is part four and final part of the series, and we will be talking about how the player pool has improved over the last two years. Happy Tuesday, everyone. I’m in full SheBelieves Cup mode, and with things going well for the USWNT so far, I’ve been in a good mood lately. Before we get started, lets wish a happy 31st birthday to Orlando City goalkeeper Pedro Gallese! Now, there’s plenty to talk about today, so here we go.
Morris Injures ACL
Jordan Morris has suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury while on loan with Swansea City. While the injury was not explicitly stated to be a tear, Swansea boss Steve Cooper did confirm that the damage was to the ACL and that his season was over, so it’s safe to assume that a tear did indeed occur. That will put his time frame for recovery at roughly six to eight months, so he should be back for both the end of the MLS season and the beginning of World Cup qualifying. Regardless,

USA Men’s AmeriCup Qualifying Team (6-0) wasted no time in racing past Mexico (2-4), holding a 58-33 advantage at halftime en route to a 96-75 victory to close out qualifying games for the 2022 FIBA AmeriCup on Saturday evening in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Ra’Shad James (Orasi Ravenna, Italy/Northwood) paced the USA to victory with 21 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the floor and 3-of-3 from 3-point;
Brandon Bass (Free Agent/LSU) contributed 12 points and five rebounds;
Joe Johnson (Free Agent/Arkansas) notched 11 points, a game-high-tying nine rebounds and a game-high seven assists;
Will Davis II (Free Agent/UC Irvine) added 10 points and five boards; and
