Gettysburg Coach Hank Janczyk Retiring At End of Season

Wednesday May 5th, 2021 3:00pm (Photo Courtesy of Gettysburg Athletics) Hank Janczyk, whose legendary Gettysburg career has spanned 34 years, will retire at the conclusion of the 2021 season, the school announced Wednesday. It s been very meaningful to spend a lot of my life coaching men s lacrosse at Gettysburg College, stated Janczyk. It has been an honor to coach and work with all of the many young men that have come into my life. I thank you for your patience with me; even with all of my faults, you managed to grow into some of the finest people I ve ever known. It s been a privilege to work with so many great colleagues, some have even become my best friends for life.

Stony Plain lacrosse player reaching new heights at U S university

Article content Eric George is making headlines as a freshman lacrosse player at Chowan University in North Carolina. The Stony Plain native (18) was awarded an athletic scholarship to the private school in 2020. He said his family had a mini lacrosse stick in their garage which he began to play with one summer. The following year, his father pulled him out of baseball and enrolled him in the Posse’s minor box lacrosse program.
