EDMONTON – An Alberta man is awaiting a next court date in Montana for allegedly crossing the border in a kayak and leading officials on a seven-hour chase through tough terrain.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) â The United States Border Patrol will lead a guided tour of the new tent facility for migrants.
The tour, limited to the first 100 people who show up, will go from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday.
Interim Chief Border Patrol Agent John Modin will speak at the facility, 4550 E. Los Reales Road, at 10 a.m.
Dubbed a soft-sided facility, the shelter will house as many as 200 migrants at a time.
The US has agreed to train members of a Guatemalan task force responsible for protecting the country s borders amid the wave of uncontrolled migration.
The offer came during Monday s video call between Vice President Kamala Harris and Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammattei.
The US will send 16 employees of the Department of Homeland Security to aid in the effort.

According to Hidalgo County Jail records, a U.S. Border Patrol agent was arrested on Saturday by the Hidalgo County Police Department.
Francisco Vallejo was arrested on charges of an accident involving death.
Hidalgo Police said an investigation is underway and more details would be released on Tuesday.
In a Monday news release, a CBP spokesperson said “CBP’s Office of Professional Responsibility and the United States Border Patrol are fully cooperating with the investigation.”
Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra said they are looking for more space to house the record number of migrant children crossing the US-Mexican border.
