NASSAU, BAHAMAS As the search continues for missing pilot Clifford Livingstone Dean and his passenger, Stephen Sawyer, relatives of the passenger yesterday urged residents, particularly those on Acklins, to join the search to find the men.
The men departed New Providence and were en route to Inagua around 5pm, according to authorities.

However, the passenger’s brother, Charles, and sister, Stacey Neely, said the men were heading to the Dominican Republic, where they conducted regular business, and were expected to return on Saturday.
“My brother is one of those people who is well equipped and he is always trying to find ways to make things happen,” Sawyer said.

NEW ORLEANS, LA –U.S Attorney Duane A. Evans announced that on March 5, 2021 three pleaded guilty related to a test score-fixing scheme at a United States Coast Guard exam center, bringing the total number of defendants convicted in this matter to 19.
SHARRON ROBINSON, a former maritime industry worker, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to defraud the United States. In a factual basis filed into the record,
ROBINSON admitted that she acted as an intermediary between Coast Guard exam center employee Beverly McCrary and merchant mariners who were willing to pay for false passing exam scores. The exams tested mariners’ knowledge and training to safely operate under the authority of licenses, which were legally required to work various positions on vessels.

Miami – The United States Coast Guard on Friday transferred six Cuban migrants to Bahamian authorities after they were found stranded on Anguilla Cay here.
On Saturday, the Coast Guard said that during a routing patrol, an Air Station Miami HC-144 Ocean Sentry aircrew spotted the six people and dropped lifesaving supplies to them.
“The Coast Guard cutter rescue crew arrived on scene, Thursday, and ensured the six people: five adults and one 17-year-old unaccompanied minor, did not have medical concerns before bringing them on the ship.
Once aboard a cutter, the US Coast Guard said all migrants receive food, water, shelter and basic medical attention.
