Deming-Luna County Toys for Tots will have different look this year Toys for Tots in compliance with health order DEMING – Toys for Tots plans to march through toward the Christmas holiday under the guidance of Thom Barry and the American Legion Bataan Post 4 in Deming. The COVID-19 pandemic is in the way, but Barry and the United States Marine Corps Reserves is planning to bring Christmas joy to children in Deming and Luna County. Barry, a lifetime member of the Marine Corps League, is in his seventh season of collecting toys for the United State Marine Corps Reserves Toys for Tots program. The program collects new and unwrapped toys to be distributed to children who are less fortunate during the Christmas holiday. It is a 501©(3) nonprofit organization that operates nationwide in hopes of bringing Christmas joy to every child.
