CBS News Marine behind viral TikTok describes sexual assault as officials prepare for investigative commission Last Updated Feb 23, 2021 10:48 PM EST A Marine Corps sergeant claimed in an emotional TikTok video last week a fellow service member who she says admitted to sexual misconduct will be allowed to remain in the military. She shared new details about her experience in a statement obtained exclusively by CBS News. In October 2019 while deployed, I reported my coworker for sexual misconduct, the Marine, who identified herself only as Dalina, said in the statement. I had proof and witnesses. That next morning that same Marine was still the Platoon Sergeant holding formation while I hid in my room, ashamed of what had happened.

Jesse L Nessen | Golf Lessons | Meridian, ID

About Jesse I have been around the game of golf since I was able to walk. My dad would take me along to the local municipal course in Rexburg and let me putt and chip (with cut down clubs from a secondhand store). I started to take golf seriously during my junior year of high school where I qualified as an individual for the Idaho State Championship. I played in various Idaho Junior Golf Association tournaments, Rocky Mountain Junior Section tournaments, and The Dropping at Banbury. I competed in many State Amateurs, Idaho Mid-Amateurs, and the Nampa Amateurs. I served in the United States Marine Corps for four years as an infantry mortarman. When the opportunities arose, I found myself back at various golf courses on base in California and Hawaii. Having the opportunity to coach some of my fellow brothers how to enjoy the game was very rewarding to me and a great way to bond with them. Since being out of the Marines, I’ve had the opportunity to work at BanBury for the past two s

DVIDS - News - Giving Life Everything He Has: U S Marine Corps Major Emmanuel tells his story

13 U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Gordon Emmanuel did not come into this world with the brightest path, or under the most positive circumstances. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York as the son to two Haitian immigrants. The environment he was born into was relatively rough and was not the best conditions for a child. Gordon’s household could be described as tumultuous, and a place where he felt as if he was facing adversity inside as well as outside. “Many times people attribute adversity as a negative, but much of the adversity that I have experienced has resulted in positive gain,” says Emmanuel. “For example, Marine Corps training, deployments, and leadership challenges were all tough things to encounter, but finding a way to get the job done has done more good for me than negative.”
