FRANCIS DWIGHT SCOTT
Oakdale resident and former marine Francis (Frank) Dwight Scott passed away January 30, of this year after a long bout with cancer.
Born in Pennsylvania in 1933, Frank moved to Oakdale after spending 24 years in service to his country with the United States Marine Corps and Marine Corps Reserves where he rose to the rank of Master Sergeant.
Frank continued his dedication to service as an active member of the Oakdale Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2922 and with Marine Corps League Detachment 019 of Modesto. He was also active in his church and was a member of the Legion of Merit at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church.
