ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) Local governments could get their COVID relief funds from the feds as early as this week.
The Albany Times-Union reports the United States Treasury opened up its portal for both state and local governments to request their aid. The funds are from the COVID relief package passed back in March.
New York will receive $12.7 billion.
Locally, Monroe County will get about $143-million. More than $232-million is earmarked for the Finger Lakes Region as a whole.
