Bill has passed both chambers with unanimous, bipartisan support
CLARK COUNTY After passing both the house and senate with unanimous support earlier this month, Washington’s wildfire bill (HB1168) is headed to the governor’s desk where it is expected to be signed into law.
The bill was authored in large part by the team at Washington’s Department of Natural Resources (DNR), under the guidance of Hilary Franz, the commission of public lands.

Adult bald eagles are readily identified by their white heads and tails. The rest of the feathers are dark brown. Males and females are identical in color but females are larger. Males weigh 8-9 pounds and females weigh 10-14 pounds. Eagles are 3 to 3-1/2 feet long from beak to tail and have a wingspread ranging from 6 to 7-1/2 feet. Bald eagles do not acquire .

TEMECULA, CA In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the federal Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act of 1971, a Temecula lawmaker wants to see a moratorium on all further roundups of wild equids in California.
Assemblymember Marie Waldron (R), whose 75th District includes Temecula and a swath across North County San Diego, joined Assemblymember Luz Rivas (D-Arleta) to author Assembly Joint Resolution 5, which urges the federal government to halt roundups of California s free-roaming horses and burros.

Fire officials said a smoke column will likely be visible for the next few days due to prescribed burns near Foresthill.
The prescribed fire is burning about nine miles northeast of Foresthill along Foresthill Road near Sugar Pine Road.
The United States Forest Service (USFS) is aiming to finish upwards of 700 acres in the coming days and weeks to help prevent wildfires.
USFS said smoke columns might be visible as the series of prescribed burns continue.
