Report: Danny Ferry is returning to the Spurs’ front office

No matter where his journeys take him, former Spur Danny Ferry keeps finding his way back to San Antonio. This time, he is returning to the Spurs in a front office capacity, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Danny Ferry is returning to the San Antonio Spurs in a front office consulting role, sources tell ESPN. Spurs are also adding USA Basketball s Samson Kayode in a player personnel role in the front office, sources said. Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) December 18, 2020
Ferry also worked for the Spurs front office from 2003 to 2005 immediately after his retirement and winning a championship. In 2010 he returned as Vice President of Basketball Operations for a couple of years following a successful stint as the Cleveland Cavaliers’ general manager during the first LeBron James era. He most recently served as a special advisor and later interim general manager for the New Orleans Pelicans.
