Wednesday was not a day to stick to sports.
All eyes were on Washington D.C. as supporters of President Donald Trump stormed the United States Capitol Building while the U.S. Senate gathered in a joint session to confirm the electoral votes of the 2020 presidential election.
Chaos and anarchy unfolded at the seat of power for the United States Congress and athletes across New England were among those speaking out against the actions they witnessed live from the nation’s capital.
